Dr. Kenneth Kim is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon delivering exceptional results, with a unique ability to perform comprehensive surgery using local anesthesia. His advanced surgical approach minimizes internal and external scarring and creates stunning results for patients. He specializes in facelifts, breast augmentations, tummy tucks, and eyelid surgeries.
Dr. Kim specializes in 'ultra-precision' surgery which allows him to operate using only local anesthesia. With ultra-precision surgery, Dr. Kim meticulously minimizes blood vessel and tissue damage to reduce inflammation during and after surgery. This is especially important as blood outside the vessels can create inflammation which can lead to scarring and prolong recovery.
Dr. Kim’s surgical approach ensures that the skin and soft tissue maintain maximal blood supply during surgery, resulting in minimal blood loss. As a result, his patients will experience significantly less pain and remarkably fast recovery in addition to natural-looking, beautiful results.
As well as publishing numerous peer-reviewed articles in medical and scientific literature, Dr. Kim has presented at multiple national and international medical conferences, including both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons meetings. His advanced methods, flawless techniques, and experiences working with patients all over the world make him the ideal plastic surgeon.
Patients trust Dr. Kim because of his advanced techniques and attention to patient safety. Dr. Kim serves as a member of the ASPS Patient Safety Subcommittee and their Quality and Performance Committee and as chairman of an upper eyelid surgery guideline task force.
Dr. Kim is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine and serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine where he teaches plastic surgery to residents.
